Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

In short: we keep what you put into Alakanzam so you and the people you share with can use it, and the little we need to sign you in. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics cookies.

This policy explains what Alakanzam (“we”, “us”), made by AyaBit, collects when you use it, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Alakanzam website and apps.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address and the name you give us. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address (which may be a private relay address from Apple) and, from Google, your profile picture.
  • What you create: workspaces, boards, lists, cards and everything on them (descriptions, comments, checklists, labels, dates, covers and the files you attach), and each card’s history of changes.
  • People you invite: the email addresses you send invitations to, and the role you give them.
  • Sign-in and security records: when you sign in, from which IP address and browser, kept by our sign-in provider to protect your account.

What stays on your device

  • Your preferences (theme, view options, filters, recently viewed boards) are kept in your browser’s storage.
  • Google Calendar (the planner): if you connect it, your browser talks to Google Calendar directly; we don’t store your calendars or events. To keep you connected, Google gives our server a long-lived permission, which stays in a cookie in your browser (not on our servers) and is used only to get your browser a new access token about once an hour. Disconnecting in the planner, or removing Alakanzam from your Google Account, ends it.
  • Importing from Trello: the Trello key and token you enter are used only during the import, in your browser and in requests to Trello (attachment downloads pass through our server on their way to you). They’re never stored. The boards you choose to import become your Alakanzam content.

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and to keep Google Calendar connected if you connect it. No advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To run Alakanzam: show your boards, keep them in sync across your devices, and save your changes.
  • To let you work with others: the people in a workspace see its content.
  • To send the emails the service needs: sign-in codes and links, and invitations you ask us to send.
  • To keep Alakanzam secure and working, and to fix problems.

We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or use your content to train AI models.

Who can see your content

Everyone in a workspace can see all of its boards, and the names and email addresses of the other people in it. What they can change depends on the role an owner or admin gave them. When you leave a workspace, or are removed from it, you lose access to its boards; what you added there stays with the workspace.

Service providers

We rely on a few companies to run Alakanzam. They process data only on our behalf:

  • Supabase stores the database, the files you attach and the sign-in records, on servers in São Paulo, Brazil, and sends sign-in and invitation emails.
  • Cloudflare hosts the website and handles requests to it, through servers around the world.
  • Apple and Google, if you choose to sign in with them, under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

International transfers

Your data is stored in Brazil and may be processed in other countries, including the United States, by the providers above. They protect it under their own data processing terms.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account exists. Things you delete (a card, a list, a board, a workspace) are deleted for good; archived items stay until someone deletes them. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your personal data within 30 days; content you added to workspaces shared with others stays there, without your name.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change your name in the app, and delete your boards and workspaces at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account, by writing to jayala08@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil), you may have further rights, such as objecting to or restricting how we process your data, and you can complain to your data protection authority.

Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Access to every workspace, board, card and file is enforced by the database itself, files are stored privately, and sign-in uses one-time codes or links rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects it.

Children

Alakanzam isn’t meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and let you know in the app or by email before significant changes take effect.
